Doe Run House Destroyed in Weekend Fire

(Doe Run, MO) Fire crews were busy Saturday morning battling a house fire in Doe Run. According to Doe Run Fire Protection District Fire Chief Colt Grimes, the department was dispatched at 10:13 a.m. to a brush fire at Elm St. and Park St., and within a few minutes of the dispatch, it was upgraded to a first alarm structure fire. 

Grimes says that the home was vancant. The fire was brought quickly under control, however the home was a total loss. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire. Other departments that helped battle the blaze include Wolf Creek, Farmington, Bismarck, Pilot Knob, and Park Hills. There were injuries in the incident.
