Earthquake Near Leadwood Saturday

(Washington County, MO) Officials with the United States Geological Survey are reporting a 1.9 magnitude earthquake took place Saturday morning between Leadwood and Potosi about 6 o'clock. The quake was north of Highway 8 and had a depth of more than 3 miles. The last earthquake in the area took place about 14 miles south of Fredericktown in March. It was of a 2.0 magnitude with a depth of 6 miles. No injuries or damage is being reported from Saturday's quake.
