Perry Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Perryville man, 80-year-old Oliver G. Bachman, was fatally injured after being run over by a tractor in Perry County just after 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as Bachman was attempting to start a tractor while standing next to it at Perry County Road 343, near Perry County Road 328. The tractor's neutral safety switch wasn't working leaving it in gear when it started. The tractor rolled over Bachman and continued moving forward until it struck a parked pickup.
Bachman was pronounced dead at the scene.
