Farmington Fire Department Releases February Report

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington Fire Department has released its monthly report for February 2025, providing a breakdown of emergency responses and fire safety activities compared to the previous year.

According to the report, the department conducted 283 fire safety inspections, a slight decrease from 290 in February 2024. The use of the Alternative Response Vehicle (ARV) saw a notable increase, with 196 deployments in February 2025, compared to just 2 in the same month last year.

Firefighters responded to 35 incidents of simultaneous calls, highlighting the department's increasing call volume.

Breakdown of Emergency Calls:
Structure Fires: 0 (compared to 2 in February 2024)

Vehicle Accidents: 14 (28 year-to-date, compared to 26 last year)

Medical Emergencies: 134 (283 year-to-date, compared to 267 last year)

Other Incidents: 113 (322 year-to-date, compared to 237 last year)

Mutual Aid Responses: 22 (49 year-to-date, compared to 66 last year)

The report indicates a continued demand for emergency medical responses, as well as a notable reduction in structure fires and mutual aid calls. The Farmington Fire Department continues to emphasize fire prevention, safety inspections, and efficient response strategies to ensure public safety.
