Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 25-year-old Farmington man was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on northbound Interstate 55 in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:25 a.m. on March 15, just north of Route M. A 2014 Kia Sportage was blocking the second lane of the interstate after being involved in a previous crash. A 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by the Farmington man, was traveling in the same lane and struck the rear of the Kia. The driver of the Sonic sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. The condition of the driver of the Kia remains unknown.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
