St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A tragic vehicle crash on Route OO, south of Route F in St. Francois County, claimed the lives of three individuals on Christmas Eve.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 7:28 p.m. when a 2004 Ford F-150, traveling northbound, veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
The crash resulted in the deaths of all occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, a 28-year-old woman and two juvenile boys, ages 4 and 6, from Valley Mines. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Francois County Coroner at 9:45 p.m. The 6-year-old was pronounced deceased earlier at Parkland Health Center in Farmington at 8:28 p.m., and the 4-year-old succumbed to his injuries at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis at 9:50 p.m.
Authorities reported that all occupants were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
