Fatal Crash Closes Old Highway 21 Near Lions Den Road

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Old Highway 21 was shut down Tuesday morning following a fatal crash involving a dump truck and a passenger vehicle.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7 a.m. near Lions Den Road. Preliminary investigations indicate that the passenger vehicle collided with the dump truck. The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
