Fire Destroys Mobile Home

(Bonne Terre, MO) A mobile home near the entrance to Lake Timberline, north of Bonne Terre, is a total loss after a fire Sunday morning. The Chief of the Big River Bonne Terre Fire Department, David Pratte, says the home was already a loss when firemen arrived just before noon.

Pratte said they had the fire under control in about 10 to 15 minutes and the cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature. Big River Bonne Terre firemen received assistance from the Park Hills, Desloge, Farmington, Hematite, Jefferson R7, and DeSoto Rural Fire Departments. No injuries were reported.
