Former Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested

Farmington, Mo (KFMO) - A former St. Francois County Sheriff’s Deputy is facing possible charges after being taken into custody Thursday by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and Cyber Crimes Unit.

According to the sheriff’s department, the 39 year old Farmington man was booked into the Ste. Genevieve County Jail and charged with Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Charging documents have been submitted to the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney for consideration. The sheriff’s department will continue assisting the investigation.
