Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Fourteen students celebrated their graduation from Mineral Area College’s (MAC) Law Enforcement Academy on December 12, 2024.
The graduates completed the rigorous 1,000-Hour Basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) program, equipping them to begin careers in law enforcement.

The Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy (MACLEA), established in 1994, provides regional training for individuals seeking careers as peace officers. Students in the academy undergo comprehensive preparation that includes classroom instruction, physical conditioning, and live training scenarios. The program emphasizes developing mental resilience, ethical standards, and the practical skills needed for high-level police work.
The academy’s mission is to ensure recruits are fully prepared to serve their communities with competence and integrity.
