Fredericktown Man Charged in Iowa

(Algona, IA) A man from Fredericktown, 20 year old Michael Street, is facing charges of attempted murder in Algona, a town in northern Iowa, after an incident of shots being fired. Reports indicate police received a call about 10:30 Saturday morning, April 10th, concerning gunfire in a park in the town. A car is said to have left the scene at a high rate of speed. Authorities took Street into custody 75 miles away on Interstate 35.
