Fredericktown Police Make Meth Arrest

(Fredericktown, MO) Charges are to come after an arrest Monday by the Fredericktown Police Department. Information on the department's Facebook page indicates an officer and his K9 unit were performing a traffic stop when the K9 unit performed a "free air sniff". The K9 alerted to a trained odor and officers searched the vehicle. An orange container was discovered with a crystal like substance inside. The substance field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold pending a warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
