Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash on Missouri Highway 32 at Front Street Wednesday evening resulted in multiple injuries, including a 93-year-old woman and three children.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 9 p.m. when a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 38-year-old man from Bismarck, attempted to turn right onto Highway 32 from Business 32. The vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan head-on.
The driver of the Caravan, a 71-year-old woman from Park Hills, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Farmington. A 93-year-old female passenger in the Caravan also suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital. Three juvenile passengers, ages 10, 11, and 14, all from Park Hills, sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Parkland Hospital by private conveyance.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He has been identified by the MSHP as Trevor D. Bell and was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and causing serious physical injury. He was placed into the St. Francois County Jail and has since been released.
