Heat Dome Brings Warning Through Thursday

(St. Francois County, MO) With an Excessive Heat Warning producing a triple digit heat index for the next few days officials with the National Weather Service say a high pressure, static, heat dome is causing temperatures to be above normal. National Weather Service Meteorologist, Marshall Pfahler, says high humidity readings are a factor as well.

Pfahler also says we can expect average highs of 95 to 102 with heat index readings as high as 115 or more. According to Pfahler if you don't have to be out side in the heat stay indoors and be sure any animals you have outside are properly cared for with plenty of water and shade.
