High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Crash, Suspect in Custody

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A high-speed pursuit early Friday morning ended in a crash and the arrest of a wanted felon.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. on March 20, 2025, deputies patrolling the Iron Mountain Lake area attempted to stop a vehicle for multiple traffic infractions. The driver refused to yield, accelerating and fleeing northbound from Iron Mountain Lake. The pursuit continued through Bismarck and into Washington County, where the suspect lost control at the intersection of Highway M and Highway 21, crashing into a tree and disabling the vehicle. Law enforcement detained both occupants without further incident.

The driver was identified as 30-year-old Timothy Springer of Cuba, Missouri. After receiving medical clearance, Springer was transported to the St. Francois County Detention Center. He is being held on multiple felony warrants issued through the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Charges are also being sought through the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, including Resisting Arrest - Aggravated Fleeing under Valentine’s Law, Driving While Revoked, multiple traffic violations, and reckless driving offenses.

The female passenger was evaluated and released at the scene.

No injuries were reported.
