Identity Theft Ring Discovered

(St. Francois County, MO) Investigators with the Farmington Police Department have a suspect in custody who they allege attempted to purchase a vehicle from a local dealer with a fake I.D.  Farmington Police Lieutenant, Jeff Crites, says the investigation started July 19th in Largo, Florida, when an identity theft victim there received several loan denials for vehicles he was not trying to purchase. After working with the dealership and other agencies Farmington Police were able to develop leads that took them to the suspect who was found to reside in Clarksburg, Maryland. The suspect was arrested July 20th in Montgomery County, Maryland. Police seized two vehicles as well as multiple firearms, driver's licenses, credit cards,and other documents and fake I.D.'s.  According to Crites there could be other arrests in the investigation.
