Jefferson County Man Sentenced

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Jefferson County man, 29-year-old Darrell Ray Sanders, is facing 11 years in prison after he was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court after being caught with child pronography.

Law enforcement officials say April 12, 2022, Kirkwood Police Department officers were investigating allegations that Sanders had approached children on the street. They identified him as a person of interest and he was arrested. Sanders admitted having child pornography on his cell phone. Investigators found images and videos containing child sexual abuse material on two cell phones belonging to Sanders.

He pled guilty in February in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.
