Jefferson County Woman Killed in Car Crash

(Ste. Genevieve County, MO) A Festus teenager, 18 year old McKenna Templeton of Festus, is dead after she was involved in a one car wreck Friday night in Ste. Genevieve County. According to Highway Patrol reports the accident took place about 7 o'clock in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55, near mile marker 146. Troopers say Templeton was attempting to change lanes and her car struck the back of a tractor-trailer being driven by 55 year old Lewis Reddick III of Perryville. Templeton, who was not wearing her seat belt when the wreck occurred, was thrown from her car and pronounced dead at the scene.
