Juveniles Injured in Traffic Crash

(St. Francois County, MO) Several juveniles, including a 13 year old boy who received serious injuries and a 14 year old boy who received minor injuries, both from Park Hills, plus a 16 year old male from Valles Mines who was moderately injured, as well as a 16 year old female from Doe Run, who received serious injuries, are recovering after a one car crash in St. Francois County Tuesday night. Highway Patrol records show the accident took place just after 10:30 on 6th Street at Simmons Road. The car, driven by the teen from Valles Mines, was traveling too fast for conditions when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle wearing a seat belt during the crash. The 13 year old boy from Park Hills and the 16 year old female from Doe Run were taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital while the 14 year old from Park Hills and the 16 year old driver from Valles Mines were taken to Parkland Health Center North at Bonne Terre.
