Kleinberg on Fireworks Safety

(Park Hills, MO) With the 4th of July holiday coming soon many Parkland residents are getting ready to set off their own fireworks display. The Environmental Public Health Specialist, and Public Health Emergency Planner, for the St. Francois County Health Department, Donovan Kleinberg, says don't take chances when enjoying this holiday tradition.

According to Kleinberg injuries from sparklers are among the most common.

2/3 of all firework related injuries and deaths occur this time of year. It is important to prepare the area when using fireworks, supervise young children, and remain sober when setting up or lighting fireworks.
