Leadwood, Mo. (KFMO) - A Leadwood home is a total loss after a fire late Sunday night.
According to the Leadwood Fire Protection District, the call came in at 10:23 p.m. for a first alarm residential structure fire with rescue in the area of Main Street and East Ninth Street. Upon arrival, crews quickly began to fight the fire and a second alarm was struck. Crews were able to confirm that all of the occupants of the home had evacuated safely.
Crews remained on the scene for several hours to extinguish the fire and to conduct salvage and overhaul operations.
Other departments battling the fire included Big River, Bismarck, Doe Run, Desloge, DeSoto, Farmington, Goose Creek, Hematite, Irondale, Leadington, Park Hills, Pilot Knob, Potosi, Terre Du Lac and Wolf Creek, as well as the St. Francois County Ambulance District and Sheriff's Department.
No injuries were reported.
