Leadwood Police Chief Suspended

(Leadwood, MO) The town of Leadwood is without a Police Chief after reports show the Mayor suspended Chief Emily Portell and that there is an internal investigation into Portell. No further details are being released by Leadwood City Officials. Portell is the sixth Police Chief for Leadwood in the last two years. The town's law enforcement needs will be handled by several reserve officers with help from the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department.
