Leadwood Residents Injured in Crash

(Miller County, MO) Two people from Leadwood, 35 year old Shellie Knowles and 38 year old Nicholas M. Knowles, are recovering from moderate injuries they received in motorcycle wreck in Miller County Wednesday afternoon just before 2:30. Highway Patrol reports show Nicholas Knowles was driving the motorcycle west on Highway 52, at Twin Creek Road, when he lost control of the bike and it ran off the road, rolled over, and crashed into a traffic sign, throwing the pair off. They were both taken to Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City. Neither Shellie or Nicholas Knowles was wearing a helmet when the accident took place.
