Local BackStoppers Makes Donation to St. Louis BackStoppers

(Farmington, MO) A large donation is going to the St. Louis BackStoppers.

It was made Thursday by the St. Francois County BackStoppers. Executive Director of the St. Louis BackStoppers and St. Louis County Chief of Police Ron Battelle accpeted the donation $22,020. He says it's always humbling to receive a donation of any type.

St. Francois County BackStoppers Board Member Sheri Pratt, explains how the money is returned back into the community.

Pratt says that the amount raised was during a banquet in March. She appreciates all of the businesses that donated to the banquet and to the people that helped with the event it self. The St. Louis BackStoppers serve families of police, fire and EMS that have been killed in the line of duty or suffer catastrophic loss in 28 counties in Missouri and Illinois.

The St. Louis BackStoppers is celebrating their 65th anniversary this year.
