Man Charged with Corpse Abandonment

(Jefferson County, MO) Jefferson County Sheriff, Dave Marshak, is announcing an arrest and charges of Abandonment of a Corpse and Tampering with Physical Evidence against 62 year old Stephen Lee Seidl of De Soto. The charges stem from the discovery of the body of 35 year old Danielle Thomas, of Park Hills, August 30th in a wooded area near the 14300 block of Old Engledow Road. Investigators believe Seidl dumped the body of 35 year old Danielle Thomas of Park Hills after he discovered her dead in his home August 29th. Thomas had been staying with Seidl who is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $20,000 cash only bond. and evidence also indicates Seidl cleaned up the room in his home where Thomas' body was found. Thomas' official cause of death is still under investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner's Office however, there were no signs of trauma to her body, and her death is not considered a homicide.
