Man From Bixby Charged with Murder

(Iron County, MO) A man from Bixby, 25 year old Lorenzo McGee, is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of 51 year old Donald Ray Barton Jr. of Boss. The incident took place early Monday night on Neals Creek Road, a few miles from the Bixby General Store. It's alleged McGee shot Barton in the stomach but no further details are being released yet by authorities as to why. Barton was found by motorists and flown to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. He died shortly after arriving at the medical facility. McGee is in Iron County circuit court today on the charges. Stay tuned to KFMO B104 News for more information as it becomes available.
