Missouri Mines Fall Rocks Event Saturday

(Park Hills, MO) This year's Fall Rocks event, at the Missouri Mines State Historic Site in Park Hills, is this Saturday evening. Site Administrator, Art Hebrank, says it's a free program designed for families. Hebrank also says besides the normal attractions they'll have a large piece of mining equipment from the Doe Run Company kids can get their picture taken with.

The Fall Rocks Event also has games and activities to teach mining and it's relationship to rocks, geology, minerals, and the history of our area. It's sponsored in part by Missouri State Parks and the Doe Run Company. The Fall Rocks Event is to be held this Saturday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the Missouri Mines State Historic Site in Park Hills. To find out more call the site at 573-431-6226.
