Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Governor Mike Kehoe has announced eight gubernatorial appointments to various boards and commissions, including a Farmington physician who will serve on the Missouri Drug Utilization Review Board.
Dr. Elizabeth Bowman of Farmington was appointed to the Drug Utilization Review Board, which is involved in reviewing medication utilization and helping ensure appropriate use of prescription drugs within Missouri's healthcare system.
Bowman is a family medicine and addiction medicine physician at Missouri Highland Health Center. She is active in the medical community and holds memberships in the Missouri and American Colleges of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
Bowman attended the University of Missouri, where she earned bachelor's degrees in biology and psychology.
She later attended the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Bowman's appointment was part of eight appointments announced by Governor Kehoe to various Missouri boards and commissions.
