Muslim Group Files Lawsuit

(Bonne Terre, MO) Administrators with the Council on American Islamic Relations in Missouri are filing a lawsuit against Missouri Department of Corrections Officials and employees of the Bonne Terre Eastern Reception Diagnostic Center and Farmington Correctional Center. The suit alleges Muslim men who were praying together at the Bonne Terre location, were sprayed with pepper spray by guards, assaulted, and retaliated against when they tried to report the incident. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and court awarded damages.
