Nine Graduate from MAC Law Enforcement Academy

(Park Hills, MO) Nine students graduated from the 1,000-Hour Basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) program at Mineral Area College on May 16, 2024. 

Mineral Area College President Dr. Joe Gilgour says it's a great feeling to see these students walk across to graduate.

Graduates of Class 23-108 include Anthony Biermann, Affton; Joshua Gormley, Ironton; Phillip Karn, Marquand; Aria King, Bonne Terre; Makenna LaChance, Farmington; Landon Ray, French Village; Grace Romine, Bismarck; Hallie Sutton, Fredericktown; and Cassandra Wickerham, Farmington.
 
Since 1994, Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy (MACLEA) has provided regional law enforcement training to students interested in achieving a career as a peace officer. Recruits are prepared mentally, physically, ethically, and with proficient skills to perform police duties at a high level of competency. Throughout the 1000-hour program, students participate in classroom instruction, intense physical training, and live training exercises.
