North County Schools Address Second Threat

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) -  North County Intermediate School is responding to a threat made Tuesday morning. This is the districts second threat in the last week. The verbal threat was made by a student.

The student was quickly identified, and an investigation began in line with district policies and procedures. Precautions were immediately taken to prevent contact between the individual involved and other students and staff. Disciplinary action was taken according to school guidelines, and School Resource Officers were informed. The incident has been referred to juvenile authorities for further action.

This is the second reported threat in the district in less than a week, raising heightened concerns among parents and staff. The district assures the community that it takes all threats seriously and will continue to diligently investigate any reports to maintain a safe environment.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to talk with their children about the consequences of making threatening statements. The school urges anyone aware of a potential threat to contact their building administrator promptly.
