NWS Confirms EF-2 Tornado Damage in Perryville; Investigation Continues

Perryville, Mo. (KFMO) - The National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah, Kentucky, has confirmed that a tornado caused high-end EF-2 damage in Perryville.

Preliminary findings indicate that the storm produced maximum winds of 135 mph and followed a track spanning approximately 25 miles from southwest to northeast through Perry County, extending into Illinois. NWS survey teams are also investigating the possibility that the tornado's path originated in Bollinger County. The assessment remains ongoing as officials work to determine the full extent of the storm's impact.
