One Dead In Structure Fire

(Iron Mountain Lake, MO) A person is dead after a residential structure fire in Iron Mountain Lake that took place Sunday morning just after 12:30. According to a press release on the Bismarck Fire Protection district Facebook page crews were dispatched at 12:33 and arrived on site 5 minutes later. The home was heavily engulfed in flames. A search and rescue team was sent into the house where one occupant, who had died of his injuries, was located. That person's identity has not been released pending the outcome of an investigation by the Fire Marshall and detectives with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Office. One firefighter received minor burns. Firemen with the Bismarck Fire Protection District received help from Doe Run, Pilot Knob, Farmington Fire Department, Leadwood Fire Protection District, and Park Hills Fire Department.
