Parkland Schools Long Battle with Wintry Roads

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - School Superintendents throughout the Parkland are hoping we have no more winter storm days to deal with after canceling classes for several days over bad road conditions.

The Superintendent of the Central School District of Park Hills, Dr. Ashley McMillan, says sunshine helps but some roads have been so covered, and are shadowed over with tree limbs, that it takes a long time for them to be safe.

According to McMillan, students in the district have been under the Alternative Methods of Learning, or E-Learning program, doing their homework from home via the internet while conventional classes are not in session.
