Pedestrians Struck in St. Francois County

(St. Francois County, MO) A man from Bonne Terre, 25 year old William J. Gillette, and a 12 year old female juvenile from Bonne Terre, are suffering moderate injuries after they were struck by a car Monday evening at 6:20 in St. Francois County. Highway Patrol records indicate the accident took place at Route K and Carzon Road as Gillette and the girl ran into the roadway from the north and directly into the path of a car driven east on Route K by Bud A. Darity of French Village. Darity hit the brakes and his car began to skid striking Gillette and the girl. Gillette and the female juvenile were taken to Parkland Hospital at Farmington. Darity was not injured.
