Perryville Woman Charged in Infant Death

(Perryville, MO) A woman from Perryville, 23 year old Blanca Marisela Mendez Ramirez, is facing charges of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death after she allegedly admitted to police she had dropped and threw the child when it wouldn't stop crying. The child was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital. Reports indicate the child had trauma that indicated abuse. After interviewing family members the child died and police interviewed Ramirez through an interpreter and she allegedly admitted to the crimes. Ramirez was arrested taken to the Perry County Sheriff's office where she was placed in custody with a $100,000 bond.
