Potosi Man Charged with Murder

(Potosi, MO) A man from Potosi, 42 year old William O. Hawkins, is facing charges of first degree murder, armed criminal action, second degree assault, and two counts of fourth degree domestic assault after being accused of the death of 47 year old Sandra Michele Reed Kean also of Potosi. Reports indicate the incident took place last year when, it's alleged, Hawkins hit the woman using brass knuckles causing fatal injuries. It's alleged Hawkins assaulted Kean last May and authorities found her beaten, face down in the lot of  the storage facility at the intersection of Highways 8 and U. She later died of her injuries. Hawkins has been booked into the Washington County Jail with a $10,000,000 cash only bond.
