Potosi Man Facing Rape Charges

(Potosi, MO) A Potosi man, 18 year old Steven Christopher Willis, has a bond reduction hearing in Washington County court Tuesday after being arrested on charges of rape, or attempted rape, in the first degree and sodomy, or attempted sodomy, in the first degree. Reports indicate Willis is alleged to have talked with a woman May 11th and went to her Potosi home where he allegedly raped her. It's also said Willis denied being at the woman's address yet later admitted to police he had been at the house and they had engaged in sex. Willis was placed into the Washington County jail under a $100,000 bond.
