Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials will host a public meeting and comment period for a project to realign and raise Missouri Route 47 over the Union Pacific Railroad near Cadet.
By building a new bridge over the railroad, and realigning Route 47, the road will have less intersecting contact points and increase traffic flow by allowing citizens to travel over the railroad. Route 47 will remain open during a majority of the construction, which is expected to take place in 2025 with an estimated total engineering and construction cost of $8,608,000. The public meeting will take place at Fyre Lake Winery at 12902 State Highway 47 at Cadet. The project team will be on hand to answer questions, provide information, and receive input about the project.
Online participation is also available at modot.org. Comments and questions can also be addressed through an online form April 1 - 22, 2025.
