Residential Fire on Genevieve Church Road

(St. Francois County, MO) No in juries are being reported after a residential structure fire on Genevieve Baptist Church Road Wednesday. Wolf Creek Fire Chief, Bart Mabry, says his crew responded at 4:48, along with mutual aid companies, to the 1 1/2 story single family dwelling. Heavy fire was showing from the front portion of the home. Firemen made a quick transitionary attack on the structure working from the exterior to interior operations. The second floor interior was attacked to stop fire from spreading into the attic. A second alarm was sounded for manpower due to the time of day and for extra water. The fire was brought under control in under 20 minutes. Wolf Creek was assisted by the Farmington, Doe Run, Park Hills, Desloge, Leadington, Weingarten, Big River, Zell, Goose Creek, Leadwood, and Terre Du Lac Fire Departments.
