Ribbon Cutting Held at the REEF

(Park Hills, MO) A ribbon cutting and dedication was held Tuesday afternoon at the REEF in Park Hills.

After two years of planning and over a year of construction, the REEF is finally going to open this weekend. Several were in attendance at Tuesday’s ribbon cutting, excited about what this pool has to offer.

Park Hills Mayor Stacey Easter says she’s ecstatic about the progress that has been made to get the REEF open.

A dedication was also made during the event for Rory the whale, who has been a staple in the community for decades.

Easter also spoke at Tuesdays Park Hills-Ledington Chamber of Commerce luncheon, which was held at Columbia Park prior to the ribbon cutting.

The REEF will open to the general public at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up, $4 for ages 3 - 12, and under 2 get in for free.

REEF stands for River Mines, Ester, Elvins and Flat River, which formed what is now Park Hills.
