Sand Creek Bridge Guard Rail Funds Approved

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A guard rail purchase is being approved for the Sand Creek Bridge in St. Francois County.

St. Francois County Associate Commissioner, David Kater, says commissioners voted in favor of placing additional guard rails the north side of the bridge but had to do it as an emergency purchase thus narrowing the choices as to what company could provide the materials.

The bridge is located on Sand Creek Road, southeast of Farmington. The cost of the materials is $7,100 and the rails should be installed in the next few weeks.

The decision was made at Tuesday's weekly St. Francois County Commission meeting.
