Scouting For Food Begins

(Park Hills, MO) The annual Scouting for Food program begins Saturday and will, again this year, be handled differently due to the pandemic. Park Hills Scout Troop 417 Scoutmaster, Gene Bannister, says it's easy to help with the effort.

Bannister says there are plenty of drop off points you can visit this Saturday in Park Hills including The First United Methodist Church at 401 Taylor Avenue, Harps Food Store at 301 TJ Stewart Drive, and the Save A Lot Food Store at 110 Strauss. In Desloge you can drop off food items at Good Vibes Nutrition, VFW Post 2526, and Desloge Wal Mart. In Bonne Terre food drop off points are at Harps and Save A Lot. Those two stores will also collect food for the program in Farmington. Leadwood's Roy's Convenience Store is another place to leave food for the Scouting effort. There are also drop off points for Doe Run, Ironton, Caledonia, Potosi, Ste. Genevieve, and Viburnum. Scouts will return to the drop points to pick up the food November 20th.
