Seventh Confirmed Tornado Touches Down in Madison County

(Fredericktown, MO) A seventh tornado has been confirmed, from the storm system that moved through the area, the night of Wednesday, May 8.

An EF-0 tornado with peak winds of 85 m.p.h. touched down along Madison County Road 503, north of the intersection with Madison County Road 505, just west of Fredericktown at 9:06 p.m. The tornado had a width of 334 yards, which produced tree damage and minor damage to homes and farm outbuildings. This tornado traveled 4.27 miles before lifting back into the air, and ended four minutes later on the north side of Federicktown along Schulte Lane.

No injuries were reported.
