Show Me Space Event Features Science Fiction Theme

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Space Museum and Grissom Center will feature a Science Fiction theme for the Show Me Space event in June.

Founder and Executive Director of the museum, Earl Mullins, says this year they want to focus on how the world of science fiction has, in many instances, become a part of the real world.

According to Mullins, the program features a costume contest with a $500 1st place prize, a model building contest with a science fiction theme, and real life astronaut, Dr. Tom Jones. Jones was a Space Shuttle astronaut on four missions. Dr. Jones will take part in book signings, autographs, and presentations.

Internet Content creator, Dan Monroe will also be at the event. Monroe, who hosts “Movies, Music, & Monsters” on YouTube, will discuss sci-fi, music, TV, behind the scenes secrets, and Hollywood props. Monroe will take part in meet and greets, autograph sessions, and presentations.

For tickets to the event, and more information about who will be on the program, visit the Space Museum and Grissom Center's website at space-mo.org.
