Sikeston Man Killed in Accident

Bollinger Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Sikeston man is dead after a fiery crash on Highway 72, at the Madison County and Bollinger County line. .

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, nine miles west of Patton, when a pick up, driven by 69-year-old James H. Cook, crossed the center line and struck a commercial vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Cody R. Patton, of Hollister. Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. Patton received minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital of Perry County by ambulance.
