St. Francois County Accident Injures 2

(St. Francois County, MO) Two 16 year old female juveniles are recovering from injuries after a one car wreck Sunday morning in St. Francois County just before 5:30. According to Highway Patrol reports One of the girls from Farmington was driving the vehicle north at 5229 Route D, when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road. The car skidded and ran off the left side of the highway. It flew through the air, rolled over, and smashed into an embankment. The 16 year old driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was seriously injured. Her passenger, the other 16 year old girl, who is from Park Hills, was wearing her seat belt and was moderately injured. Both girls were taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis.
