St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Members of the St. Francois County Commission are looking at 2024 as a productive year that saw many advancements in the county.
St. Francois County Associate Commissioner, David Kater, says funds from the American Rescue Plan Act were helpful in funding the work.
Kater explains other work included expansion departments within the St. Francois County Jail including the mechanics area, the purchase of new scanners, and additional space for segregating prisoners who may have serious health issues.
The county received $13 million in ARPA funds and was able to nearly double that amount with monies available from other government programs.
