(St. Francois County, MO) According to the Stacker Data Journalism website St. Francois County comes in second out of 50 Missouri counties in terms of the highest COVID infection rate per 100,000 residents in the week leading up to January 31st of 2021. 42.5% of the counties population was fully vaccinated and cumulative deaths per 100,000 were at 375 during the statistics period. Other counties in the region who scored high with case numbers saw Madison County at 7 on the list, Iron County was in the number 30 spot, and Perry County was at 36 on the list of the counties with the highest COVID infection rate in Missouri. As of February 1st the United States reached 889,474 COVID19 related deaths and 75.1 million cases.
