St. Francois County Friday Serious Wreck

(St. Francois County, MO) A Bismarck teenager, 18 year old Ronny D. Barton, is suffering serious injuries after a wreck last Friday Morning at 10:40 in St. Francois County involving a car and a pick up. Highway Patrol reports show 46 year old Shane P. Kramer of Ste. Genevieve, was driving a pick up south on Highway 221, near First Street, as Barton was traveling north on 221. The report states Barton was inattentive to the roadway and failed to maintain his car in the right half of the road. His car crossed the centerline and Kramer tried to avoid a collision by steering to the right. The front bumpers of the two vehicles collided and Kramer's pick up began to skid. It ran off the right side of the road striking an embankment and rolling over onto its side. Barton's car skidded across the center of the road, ran off the right side of the road, and struck an embankment. Barton was flown to Children's Hospital at St. Louis.
